With Stream, international suppliers submit their invoices online and American Express employees approve them online. The new tool reduces paper, speeds up approvals, and increases visibility. Key supplier features:

Previously an 8 month process, uploading invoices digitally cut the lifecycle of submission, approval, and payment down to less than 30 days
Stream’s early payment feature, which allows suppliers to get paid early in an exchange for a discount, resonated with cash rich companies in their infancy with cash flow challenges
Commercial outcomes:
The product, released in a single foreign market in 2016, quickly resulted in high adoption rates and positive feedback – the American Express Global Business Services team continues to introduce the product into new markets each year
The total number of of invoices submitted to American Express increased in all four markets where Stream is available
Adoption continues to grow – MOM more suppliers are taking advantage of Stream early payment feature
After accepting their first Stream early payment offer, most suppliers have become repeat users of Stream
